Dress Rehearsal Details
The dress rehearsal starts at 5:30pm. Only students who attend the dress rehearsal are
allowed to perform at the recital/show. Please be sure to
arrive wearing your costumes
according to you Costume Details as posted on our
Costume Corner page.

Other than backstage staff & volunteers,
our dress rehearsal is closed rehearsal (Creative
Movement students are allowed one parent to be in the auditorium at the time of their practice:
Any family member causing a distraction to our students, Instructors or staff will be asked to
leave the auditorium.) It not only gives your student the opportunity to practice on the big
stage in full costume, it also gives them the opportunity to take special instructions from our
staff with our distractions.
Recital Wristbands
Each studio family will sign for a family 4 pack of complementary Admission wristbands and
one Backstage/Dressing Room wristband. This year all family's will sign for their responsibility
to retain these for recital day.

Wristbands must be worn at ALL times.

A
Backstage wristband is NOT an Admission into the Auditorium. It is strictly access to our
FEMALE Backstage/Dressing Room area (for assisting your performer with costume changes
or other needs).

Admission wristbands are strictly for admission into the show, NOT the Dressing Rooms.

Additional Admission wristbands are available for $5.00 each. You may place your order for
additional wristbands at the studio (first come; first serve).

All attendees, regardless of age, are required to have a wristband.

The last day to purchase wristbands will be at the Dress Rehearsal in the lobby.

Wristbands will NOT be sold on the day of the recital!

Why Do We Sell Wristbands
Each show we produce has many expenses to it. Listed are just a few of the expenses we
encounter each and every time we produce a show:
  • Recital Program Printing
  • Additional Insurance for the facility
  • Additional Staffing
  • Professional Videographer/Photographer
  • Stage Decorations
  • Awards
  • ... and more!

Most studios will charge families $10-$15 per ticket to see their child dance. However, we
meet families half way in the expenses by providing each family with a 4 pack of
complementary Admission wristbands and only charging $5 for each additional ticket that is
purchased. The additional sales in wristbands helps us to pay for the expenses of our shows.
We promise to keep the ticket prices low
enough to cover our expenses.
Volunteers

We are always in search of parents to help backstage during both dress rehearsal
and our annual dance show.

There are all different types of volunteers needed:
  • Dressing Room Helpers
  • Stage Decorating Crew
  • Curtain Puller
  • Student Liner-Uppers
  • Clean-Up Crew
  • Raffle Ticket Sellers
  • Program Assemblers
  • Emergency Sewers
  • Quick Costume Change Helpers
  • ... and more!

Volunteers will need to make sure that they check in at the front lobby on Dress
Rehearsal & Recital Day. You will have a special volunteer button to wear (please
return Volunteer buttons to the Volunteer table or Mr. Joe at the end of the event)
and instructions/duties sheet to follow.

If anyone is interested in volunteering, please let us know by April 30.

Volunteering Has Its Perks
Our Volunteers guests’ Admission wristbands will be marked V.I.P and will be allowed
to be seated 15 minutes prior to doors opening (at 5:15pm).

Volunteers (NOT their guests) will be allowed to watch their performer from the front
row (reserved seating), returning to their duties immediately following.
Just Got 2 Dance, LLC
Recital Day Details

Our shows start at 6:00pm. Doors will open at 5:15pm to VIP/Volunteers and at 5:30 to
our General Admission. Only those students who attended the dress rehearsal are allowed to
perform at the recital/show. Please be sure to

Costume Details as posted on our
Costume Corner page.

Recital Day Guidelines:
  • ALL students are to report at 5:15pm to the Dressing Room Area.
  • Only the ONE FEMALE representative from each family who wears the
Backstage/Dressing Room wrist band will be allowed in the Backstage/Dressing Room
area (this helps with crowd control).
  • Little Ones: Be sure to visit the rest rooms before the show starts!
  • Once your child’s class is done with their dance, they are to stay in the Dressing Room
Area until the Closing Ceremony (NO dancers are allowed in the auditorium to watch
the show; be sure to bring something to do)- Students are able to watch dances at the
    Dress Rehearsal.
  • Any family member causing a distraction to our students, Instructors or staff will be
    asked to leave the auditorium.
  • ALL competition students are required to stay for the entire show to assist backstage
and in the dressing room area with quick changes & clean-up!

Last year, our studio's show ran approx. 2 hours and our after school program's ran 1 hour
long. We would approximate that this year's recital would be about the same (we could run
longer or shorter).
Annual Recital

Students get to showcase all that they learn in class at our annual recitla. The recital is an
exciting and rewarding time for students, parents, and teachers. It is a team effort which
everyone can be proud of!
